What is burglary resistance?
Having certificates and authorizations based on the conducted tests, we are able to make anti-burglary constructions for doors and windows in the MB-86 system. Dreaming of a safe house, the basis is to equip window and door openings with aluminum anti-burglary joinery of class from RC1 to RC3 with supporting documents. What makes these products eligible for one of the RC3 classes? These are the individual elements that make up the product, in particular the glass and the fittings used, including the type of lock and hinges. In addition, these structures are limited by the maximum dimensions that can be made and the type of aluminum profiles used. Visually, they do not differ from typical aluminum windows.
Such constructions are classified according to EN 1627 "Doors, windows, curtain walls and shutters - Resistance to burglary - Requirements and classification". It includes six burglary resistance categories: from RC1 to RC6. They determine the degree to which a given structure can resist attempts to breach it using different tools and different forces.
In order to meet the inquiries from our customers, we tested our constructions in terms of anti-burglary classes in March 2017. In this way, we have obtained a CERTIFICATE, according to which we make anti-burglary joinery that meets the PN-EN 1627:2012 standard. The structures are made in the MB-86 ALUPROF system with 3 burglary resistance classes RC1, RC2 and RC3.

Windows manufactured on the MB-86 profiles have special anti-burglary fittings, an anti-burglary handle and glass with increased resistance to burglary, in class P2, P4 or P5 depending on the anti-burglary class.
- The RC1 class door is equipped with 2 locks with a C class insert, anti-burglary bolts at each hinge, and P2 anti-burglary composite glass.
- Doors in the RC2 class are equipped with an automatic strip lock, anti-burglary bolts on the hinges and a pane with an increased anti-burglary class P4.
- Doors in the RC3 class are equipped with a strip lock, anti-burglary bolts on each hinge and anti-burglary glass P5.
In addition, aluminum windows and doors can be equipped with special detectors that, in conjunction with the alarm control panel, can immediately inform the user about an attempt of unplanned intrusion into the apartment.
